Knust Print Requirements

- Images that sit on the bind edge of the page.
Make the page that this sits on a single page in the layout program without a page next to it. This allows the image to be printed with bleed, otherswise the bleed goes onto the page beside it.

- When using pixel images (non vector), use '.tif' format. If they are originally in RGB format then do not convert this to CMYK, because the conversion has to estimate how much black (K) to add and programs dont do this very well. Its better to leave in RGB format and Dirk at Knust will do this.

- For indesign and Illustrator and other programs that use transparencies, it is necessssary to have 1 copy of the files without the transparencies for Knust, and one with the transparencies. This is because the transparencies are very difficult to adjust when adjusting the images for the colour seperation when sending to print. For more information about this you can see the file: http://greenpeppermagazine.org/Stencilen.pdf
